OUR POLICIES

Conflict of Interest Policy

Delta Care is committed to transparent, fair and person-centred support. Decisions should protect participant choice and be free from inappropriate influence.

Purpose and aims

This policy outlines how actual, potential and perceived conflicts of interest are identified and managed. The interests, rights and choices of participants come first.

Scope

This policy applies to people working with or on behalf of Delta Care, including staff, contractors and representatives.

Disclosure requirements

Any relationship, financial interest or other circumstance that could affect impartial decision-making should be disclosed to management promptly.

Managing conflicts

Conflicts should be assessed and documented. Appropriate steps may include independent review, separating responsibilities or withdrawing from a decision. Participants should receive clear information and retain their freedom of choice.

Gifts and benefits

Gifts or benefits must not influence the support provided, referrals or business decisions. Any offered benefit that could create a conflict should be disclosed.

Breaches

Concerns about a conflict of interest should be raised for review and appropriate action.
